Hi All!! Soooo, recently I had a change in plans in my life...so I decided that if I'm going to keep up this blog thing, I need a writing space. It's not anything too fancy, but I love it! My bf was using the office all to himself and we hadn't done anything to it since we moved in. It was not cute...imagine if lavender mixed with pepto bismol and had a hideously pink baby. That color was on the walls. And to top it all off it had those ridiculous decals on the wall (ya, I said it), that said "My Little Angel". Ok, that had to go! So we painted the room a color called Northwest Trail from Glidden and it looked great. It instantly warmed up the room and is still neutral enough to compliment almost anything. My desk is actually a dumpster dive piece from some aparments I lived in a while ago. It was a little rough, but since I don't have the patience or money right now to spruce it up, I just rubbed some Old English over it and it was much improved! The only thing left was accessorizing. So, I made a trip to my favorite store-TJ Maxx!- and got some great pieces. Here is a pic of the almost finished project. And by almost, I mean, I need a new desk chair :) Forgive my not so fantastic photography skills! Someday I might update the desk, but I like it for now. It's kind of vintage-y and funky. If anything, my quick fix would probably be just to change the drawer pulls....but who knows??
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed a little view into my humble writing space :) What room are you thinking about revamping??

Hi All!! I found a wonderful little bench the other day and I wanted to share it with you..so today, I Spy..... The CB2 Principle Bench! I think this little piece is cute, modern, and very versatile. I am featuring it in an entryway today, but it could be used many places. In a bedroom at the foot of the bed, at a dining table, a mudroom, sun room, covered porch, or just an extra seat in a living room. So here's my take on this awesome bench. And I know, the shelves look pretty bare, but, yes, I would style them with cute frames, artwork, sculptural items, souveniers, baskets--the possiblities are endless! If you want more help with styling shelves, nightstands, tables, etc., feel free to pop over to my "Styled" pinterest board for some inspiration! Enjoy!
