Hello! I hope youre having a great day! It's Monday, so I am trying to get into the swing of a new week. Last week our daycare was closed so we had the grandparents watch L. Needless to say, he had a great time with them, and when I took him to daycare this morning, he was not a happy camper! I have to be honest, I don't blame him! So, we will get extra cuddles tonight probably and just try to keep things simple this week. Hopefully we can have a smooth transition back to reality. Ok, now on to business. So, you all know I am all about the Project Life App to record our memories and scrapbook. Well, as wonderful as this app is, sometimes I find myself looking for more. Therefore, I am sharing some of my favorite apps to use in conjuction with the Project Life App. These are going to be editing apps, and later I will share some apps I use for storage and other things. Lets dig in! -Phonto The one thing that the Project Life app does not have is the ability to add text to pictures (besides overlays). And sometimes you just need that extra something, or maybe just a different font. That's where Phonto comes in. It's very easy to use and has a good selection of fonts and colors. It even has a curve and shadow option. While it is not journaling friendly, I still think this is a great app for adding little touches here and there. See below to see how I have used it. I added the Dodgers Win to the photo on the left. I'm pretty much obsessed with this font right now! It was the perfect addition to my "Day in the Life" title page. -Aviary This was an app that I have had for a while, and it has a lot of great functions. You can do everything from filters to stickers, and of course, text. I started using this in my Project 52 album after I discovered the watercolor stickers in the app. I knew I wanted a little more color on my pages, so I use a watercolor stamp on each of my numbered week cards. I highly recommend this app! See examples below: Love these cards after I added the watercolor stamp! Just a subtle embellishment - the arrow sticker under the "right now." -HP Snapshots (the android answer to iPhone Collect App) In looking for layout inspiration, I kept coming across comething called the Collect app. In Collect you can journal, make videos, and organize your photos. But the reason why this app is unique is the fact that it gives your photos a Polaroid look. So HP Snapshots is the Android version of adding this look to your photos. While it will not journal or make videos, it still gives your photos a unique look and allows you to journal a little bit on the white part of the picture. You can just do a few pictures on your page with this look, or all the pictures like I did here: I think this page speaks for itself! -PicMonkey
I am a new PicMonkey user. So far, I like the font options on Phonto better, but PicMonkey has some good filters, so I've kept it for that reason. You can do other things with it, like touch up, draw, and stickers, but so far, I havn't found a large use for it. So there it is, just a quick overview of some of the apps I use with Project Life. There are many more out there, so I might try some later in the future, but for now I'm keeping it simple. Here are a few that others that have come highly recommended: -Touch Retouch -Snapseed -Photofy That's all for today! Hope you all have a great week and let me know in the comments below- what's you favorite photo editing app?? Peace, Anne
